War
Sports is like war.
Territory you are trying to conquer, will be the champion title.
I’ve been reading the manga:” Hajime no Ippo “
currently 872 chapters T_T and im only at 55.
Basically, is about this kid who get bullied by this group of gangsters.
Then, this boxer happen to past by then beat the crap out of him.
This kid, named Ippo, joined boxing and happen to have a talent in it.
If you’ve seen boxing, 4 rounds - 3 downs.
You can only fall down 3 times, and at each down, u get 10s.
If u dun get up in 10s, u lose.
Boxing is hard. When you are down, and beaten like crazy, you left no strength.
You need to stand up within that time limit, or everything is over.
This exact situation happens on everyone.
Our time limit is during the holidays.
Our opponent is ourselves.
Our goal is to be stronger.
Up till now i still can’t figure out why am i still playing table tennis.
I don’t play it for myself, I don’t like it.
I just find it fun! and personally, i don’t like to lose.
Coach just went on “crazy” mode and increased our training menu and physical.
Which to some may be a bad thing, but to me - im glad.
Im glad that coach wasn’t the bastard last time, slacking and doing nothing.
Now, at least i know he want us to win something.
Liangkai retained in sec3 one year, so he is sec4 in 2010.
Our table tennis B’div has gotten another strong card.
East Zones top4 has been a easy target.
But the true goal is, Nationals top4.
Last time AHS table tennis team got even a national placing was 1997.
We came up as champions.
I wanna be like my seniors, to be able to hold that gold medal that says
” Interschool national table tennis competition, 1st place “
How nice would that be?
I promise myself, i would train x2 harder than how i trained myself in the past.
And for other AHS students, your 10s is ticking. get on your feet.
and start working hard for what you want.don’t lose faith in yourself!
